Maplewood Kitchen & Bar is now open in Deerfield Twp.’s Deerfield Towne Center.
Run by Thunderdome Restaurant Group, this is the second location for the concept following one that opened in 2016 in downtown Cincinnati.
The restaurant offers West Coast-style cuisine, which emphasizes healthier food using local and seasonal ingredients, like locally roasted coffee, cage-free eggs, grass fed cow’s butter, according to the owners.
John Lanni, co-founder and owner of the Thunderdome Restaurant Group, said he is “thrilled” to be part of the Mason-Deerfield area.
“Maplewood is a breakfast lunch and dinner, fine casual cafe that appeals to all ages,” Lanni said “We offer a variety of sandwiches, entrees, salads, pastries, brunch items, cold-pressed juices, and locally roasted coffee.”
Maplewood Deerfield’s initial offerings will include breakfast, brunch, lunch. Dinner service will begin later this month.
Maplewood Kitchen and Bar isn’t the only concept the Thunderdome Restaurant Group has launched. Others include Currito, Bakersfield, Citybird, The Eagle and Sohi.
“We are very excited to see a chef-driven concept like Maplewood opening in Deerfield Township,” said Jim Flick, Deerfield Twp.’s economic director. “It’s exactly the type of restaurant our residents have expressed interest in. This is a big win.”
