Owner Garrett Williams previously ran Go Fish bait shop in a 1,000-square-foot space at 5327 Trenton-Franklin Road in Madison Twp. that formerly belonged to his mother, Nancy Williams, as Birdseed Bait Shop.
The new Middletown location provides 5,500 square feet of space, and adds hunting to the mix, as well as wholesale operations.
The “Go Fish” in Madison Twp. remains open and carries live worm bait and small tackle.
“We hope we can grow with the community and build something good for the city,” Garrett Williams said.

Nancy Williams operates GF Tax Services inside the Middletown location and her daughter, Jessica Williams, operates Spirits resale consignment shop in the Madison Twp. location.
“It’s amazing to see people come in and say ‘Wow, we watched your family grow up and look at what you’ve done with the shop,’” Nancy Williams said. “My son has taken the business a long way and plans to take it further.”
The business plans to hire 15 people starting in about three weeks and expand into others areas with smaller Go Fish, Go Hunt shops.
