The ERs are expected to open in early 2015 at the network-owned Preble County Medical Center, 450-B Washington-Jackson Road, Eaton, and in the area of Ohio 73 at Interstate 75 in Franklin.
“We see a need to offer emergency services in the Eaton and Franklin communities,” said Fred Manchur, chief executive officer of Kettering Health Network. “With these freestanding ERs, residents will have better and faster access to quality emergency care closer to home.”
The Eaton emergency department is anticipated to create between 25 and 30 new jobs, employ four physicians and house between eight and 12 patient rooms.
The Franklin location will also support four physicians, but is expected to create between 35 and 40 new jobs, including registered nurses, respiratory therapists and imaging and lab technicians. Franklin’s site will include 12 patient rooms, according to Kettering Health.
The ERs are being designed and built by Synergy Building Systems.
