Middletown up to 32 confirmed coronavirus cases

One new novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, case was reported in the city of Middletown on Thursday.

Middletown spokeswoman Shelby Quinlivan said latest confirmed COVID-19 case is of a 58-year-old man who was not hospitalized.

This new case raises the number of confirmed cases in the city to 32.

As of 2 p.m. Thursday, the Ohio Department of Health has reported 17,285 confirmed cases in Ohio with 3,533 hospitalizations that includes 1,014 admissions to intensive care units across the state.

The median age of people confirmed with COVID-19 is 51 and the age range is from less than 1 year to 106. There have been 898 confirmed deaths from COVID-19 statewide.

In addition, the state health department also reported there were 742 probable COVID-19 cases and 77 probable deaths that may be linked to the fast-spreading disease.
