Miami Valley Gaming spending $5M on new gaming patio

Miami Valley Gaming is expanding with a $5 million outdoor gaming and smoking patio.

The Lebanon-based racino is aiming to open the patio sometime in late fall, said Jerry Abner, marketing director for Miami Valley Gaming. The racino is also in the midst of renovating its high-limit betting area, Abner said.

Miami Valley Gaming opened in 2014 and just closed out its most profitable year fiscal year so far, year-end reports from the Ohio Lottery show.

The racino generated more than $143.7 million in revenue during fiscal year 2017, about $12.7 million more in revenue over last year.

“Overall, we’re very pleased with our continued success,” Abner said. “It’s a very competitive market so it speaks volumes that guests choose Miami Valley Gaming.”

The patio will include video slot machines.
