Miami students claim Snapchat accounts with racist comments don’t belong to them

Three Miami University students say someone created fictitious Snapchat accounts in their names and then filled them with racist remarks.

The students told police they became aware of the accounts and the posts after someone sent them a screenshot of the remarks, according to a police report.

While the incident does not meet the standards for telecommunications harassment, the students wanted a police report made due to the nature of the content posted.
