Man asks for cigarettes at Middletown gas station, then shows gun

A man walked into Speedway on Roosevelt Boulevard last weekend and asked for 11 packs of cigarettes.

When the clerk handed the man the packs, he showed a gun that was in his waistband and left the store in an unknown direction, according to a Middletown police report.

A deputy from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded with his K-9 partner.

The track was lost a few streets away, according to the report.
