America’s first female Secretary of State is coming to Miami University to speak.
Madeleine Albright will speak on the university’s main campus in Oxford on Oct. 17.
When Albright was appointed to Secretary of State in 1997 she was the highest ranking woman at the time in the U.S. government.
Albright is an outspoken advocate for another former Secretary of State — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Albright’s appearance is part of Miami’s 2016 Anderson Distinguished Lecture Series.
Her lecture at Millett Hall, 500 East Sycamore St., is free to the public.
