“I am honored to have been selected to represent SWRWD and build on the foundation of excellence created by Mr. Hubbard and the current Board of Trustees,” Yeager said. “Guiding the District into the future will be a challenge to continue the high standards and quality service that are hallmarks of the organization.”
Yeager previously was director for the Clermont County Water Resources Department, where he managed a large water and sewer utility of 42,000 customers.
“I believe very strongly in collaboration and shared resources between public entities and expect to enhance community involvement as a means to maximize service to our customers,” Yeager said.
Ted Kerby, president of the Southwest Regional Water District Board of Trustees, was enthusiastic about the appointment.
“The District is extremely fortunate to have found someone with the experience, vision, and community commitment that Tom brings to the position,” Kerby said. “While the Board will miss Bob, we wish him a great retirement, and the board and I look forward to working with Tom.”
Filling the shoes of Hubbard will be no easy task. He had guided the organization from a rural system to the large regional district it is today.
“It has been an honor and a pleasure to have served as the District’s general manager and to have worked with wonderful Board Members and great employees over the years,” Hubbard said. “The current board of trustees made an excellent decision in selecting Tom Yeager as the new general manager. He will serve the District well as it moves forward.”
