Cunningham said the women may be connected because of ex-boyfriends.
King told officers that two women she did not know attempted to force entry into her residence. As she attempted to hold the door shut, one of the women slashed her face.
King said she fled to the back her house with an armed woman following.
Once inside, the suspect, holding the weapon, began walking toward King’s 10-year-old child.
King told police she retrieved her gun and fired at the woman.
The suspect fled the residence and area, possibly in a newer dark colored Cadillac STS-type vehicle with tinted windows.
Brindia Dominque Renee Thompson, 25, of Cincinnati, was located at the UC Medical Center by detectives.
Thompson was charged with aggravated burglary, and felonious assault, both first-degree felonies. Additional charges are pending.
