Traffic resumes after wreck near Hamilton statue

HAMILTON — Dispatchers say traffic is running smoothly again following an accident downtown this morning.

The accident, involving a Dollar General semi-truck and a sedan, occurred shortly after 6 a.m. in front of the Alexander Hamilton statue on High Street, prompting three police units to respond.

The sedan was mounted on the median, according to police. Dispatchers said the scene was cleared around 7:15 a.m.
