Progress happening on Hamilton’s Main Street Chipotle as next dining option

The outside of the building that will be a Chipotle Mexican Grill at 1479 Main St. in Hamilton is about done, but work is continuing on the new restaurant’s interior.

The restaurant is being built on what was a parking lot next to the Bob Evans at 1461 Main St. It also sits close to Main Street in front of the AMC Classic Hamilton 8 theater.

Construction began on the site in March, with Webb’s Excavating doing preliminary site work.

Chipotle spokeswoman Erin Wolford at the time told the Journal-News, “We are currently scheduled to open … at some point in late August.”

She could not be reached this week for an update.

It’s the latest among dining, drinking and entertainment options added in the city during recent months.

Tano Bistro opened Monday at The Marcum complex of new apartments and shops in Hamilton’s downtown, across from Marcum Park. Tano is the award-winning restaurant’s second location offered by Chef Gaetano “Tano” Williams, who has operated a location in Loveland’s Historic District since 2009.

Among others were Wingstop at 1029 High St.; and Dean’s Grill at 2535 Pleasant Ave., at the former location of Lindenwald Station.

The Casual Pint, featuring beers and food, will open later this month, with Bones Brothers Wings opening later, both at The Marcum.
