Oxford residents earn accolades at art show

Two residents of The Knolls of Oxford, a continuing care retirement community in the city, recently showcased their creativity and talent in Leading Age Ohio’s annual art and writing show.

Two Knolls residents received awards in the Special Fine Art category.

Marta Wendt won the Peoples Choice Award for her acrylic painting titled “Swans” at the regional show in Hamilton. Wendt’s artwork then went on to the state show in Columbus, where she was awarded Honorable Mention.

Louise Giffing was granted a third place award at the regional show for her acrylic painting titled “Purple Flowers.”

Leading Age Ohio includes nearly 300 nonprofit retirement organizations and service providers. The goal of Leading Age Ohio is to improve the quality of life for Ohio seniors that are cared for by their members.
