Middletown reports more confirmed coronavirus cases

The Middletown City Health Department is reporting four more confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 since Friday.

The city has 47 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with two probable cases for a total of 49 cases.

Cases reported include:

  • Tuesday: A 58-year-old woman that was not hospitalized.
  • Monday: A 23-year-old man, and a 43-year-old man; neither required hospitalization.
  • Friday: A 41-year-old man who was not hospitalized.

There were no cases reported on Saturday or Sunday.

There have been two deaths attributed to the coronavirus in Middletown.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Ohio Department of Health reported 23,809 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide with 4,539 hospitalizations including 1,232 admissions to intensive care units. There have been 1,303 confirmed deaths statewide. In addition, there are 1,441 probable cases and 133 probable deaths due to COVID-19.

The age range of coronavirus COVID-19 cases range from under one-year-old to 108 years of age with the median age of 50.
