A Saturday-night house fire at 915 Quincy Drive on Hamilton’s West Side was contained to the kitchen, but the building and contents throughout were harmed, leaving an estimated $20,000 in smoke damage.
Nobody was home at the time of the blaze, which was reported by a neighbor who saw smoke, said acting assistant fire chief Brian Ruhl. A dispatcher said pets were evacuated and there were no injuries.
All Hamilton fire units responded, and crews were at the scene about an hour.
