Bosse said Stitsinger, who is an attorney, “brought a lot of expertise in that area.”
“We will miss him dearly and we are losing a lot of experience,” he said. “It’s not a good day for Ross Schools, but we will move on.”
In recent years Ross Schools, which enrolls more than 2,800 students, has consistently been among the top academic performers in the region.
The school board released a statement soliciting candidates for the open board seat. According to the board:
- Applicants must be 18 years old, district residents and registered voters.
- Those interested in being considered for appointment should contact Superintendent Scott Gates for an application at 513-863-1253 or firstname.lastname@example.org
- Questions regarding the vacancy can be directed to Ed Bosse, Vice President Board of Education, at 513-738-2315
- School board applications are due by 4 p.m. April 28 and should be mailed to: 3371 Hamilton Cleves Road, Hamilton, OH 45013
