District: 85 students on school buses involved in Mason crash, only driver injured

A Mason school bus driver was injured in a crash this afternoon that involved another school bus.

No students were injured, said Mason school officials.

The accident, which took place at the WLW radio tower on Tylersville Road, left none of the 85 students on board of both buses harmed, said Mason Schools Spokeswoman Tracey Carson.

“Emergency personnel were called to the scene and all students were cleared and allowed to board another bus home or could leave the scene with their parent,” said Carson.

“One of the bus drivers was injured, and transported to the hospital. Local law enforcement is investigating the cause of this accident. We are also following our accident protocols as required by state statutes,” she said.
