Jobs alert: Here are several companies looking to hire in Butler and Warren counties

Several area companies looking to hire have been featured in the Journal-News in recent weeks. Here’s a recap of a few such entities and what they are seeking.

Hamilton Case Works/Maverick Desk

Hamilton Case Works and Maverick Desk are looking to hire. The former was founded in 1966 as Hamilton Sorter, a manufacturer of mailroom furniture.

“As market conditions and customer needs changed, we modified our core products to commercial cabinetry (case goods) for healthcare, institutional, and corporate needs,” said Nick Trelka, vice president of systems and operations.

Maverick Desk was founded in 1992, making office furniture on a business model of speed, selection, and service. Workstream is the parent company that ties together Maverick Desk and Hamilton Casework Solutions.

Worthington Industries

Worthington Industries, a leading global diversified metals manufacturing company, is looking to hire new employees for its Butler County facility.

The company employs 12,000 worldwide, including 178 at its 480,000 square foot facility in Monroe, which opened in 1976.

Founded in 1955, Worthington is headquartered in Columbus and is steel processor providing customers with wide ranging capabilities, products and services for a variety of markets.

Humana Pharmacy

A health and well-being company is hiring 50 employees for a facility adjacent to Butler County.

The full time positions are for pharmacy technicians and technicians in training a Humana Pharmacy office in Springdale.

Those roles may be taking inbound calls from Humana members, resolving matters related to mail-order pharmacy, making outbound calls to provider offices or Humana members, dispensing/filling prescriptions or performing data entry of prescriptions.

Qualified candidates must have an active pharmacy technician or technician-in-training registration with the state of Ohio. Qualified pharmacy techs are eligible to receive a $500 signing bonus if still employed with Humana on a pay date after 180 days.

Humana Pharmacy is Humana Inc.’s mail-delivery pharmacy service. Humana, which was founded in 1961, also has a West Chester Twp.
