Hilton Garden Inn readies for West Chester opening

An opening date has been set for the first of three hotels being built in West Chester Twp., and hopes are that the new Hilton Garden Inn’s strong brand recognition among business travelers will set it apart from the competition, managers say.

The 125-room Hilton Garden Inn opens Sept. 23 at 9306 Schulze Drive. The hotel was built and will be managed by KB Hotel Group LLC of Dayton.

“We’re targeting a lot of business clientele at that property, but as well as the transient client,” said Kirit Patel, chief executive officer of KB Hotel Group.

“West Chester being the most populous township in the state of Ohio and a lot of businesses on the northern end of Cincinnati having been moving towards that West Chester area, it created a need,” Patel said.

The new hotel is staffed with about 40 employees, he said.

“We’ve had inquiries for our hotel for over a year now for people wanting to book rooms,” he said. “There are a lot of business travelers that want that Hilton Garden, they have a lot of loyalists, that where there’s a Hilton Garden available, that’s where they’re staying.”

The Hilton Garden is one of six new hotels in various stages of construction along the Interstate 75 corridor in West Chester and Liberty townships and Sharonville. An influx of retail development and other tourist draws is creating a hotel building boom between Cincinnati and Dayton, with more than 700 new hotel rooms to be added to the market within the next 12 to 18 months.

“It may be a saturated market in a year if it’s not already,” Patel said.

KB Hotel Group also manages the Hampton Inn that opened in 2013 in Middletown.
