UPDATE @ 1:06 p.m.

Elizabeth Long, spokesperson for Kettering Health Network, said the entrance to Kettering Health Network Middletown is open off of Union Road. She said the hospital has electricity and is fully functional.

A worker near the scene said it appears a vehicle struck the power line, pulling it down.

At 12:45 p.m., he said he believed the line would be restored in about an hour.

INITIAL REPORT

A fallen power line has led to the closure of a major road in Middletown and the main entrance to a hospital.

Ohio 122 is closed east of Commerce Drive in both directions. The power line that stretches over Ohio 122 is partially down.

The location is right across from the Kettering Health Network Middletown location. The main entrance to the facility is closed.

Power crews are on the scene and Middletown police have the road blocked in both directions.
