Here are five of the more disturbing things noted in an inspector’s report, which led the state to temporarily suspended the crematory’s license:

  • There were dead flies on the floor and lives ones flying in the room.

  • One body had mold on its face and neck and the face of another body was beginning to mummify.
  • Another body had "severe decomposition" and multiple maggots living in it.
  • There was an odor of decomposition around the facility. The investigator noted two car fresheners were hanging from the ceiling.
