These stores would join Kroger Marketplace on Yankee Road in Liberty Twp.; Finneytown, Lebanon, Monfort Heights, Dent, Oakley and Sharonville in offering the service, which became available to Kroger customers for the first time earlier this year, according to spokeswoman Patty Leesemann.
More stores in the region are due to add the online shopping and store pick-up service next year as well, Leesemann said.
Also, about 100 new jobs are available in this division, stretching from Northern Kentucky to Springfield, as a result of the online ordering rollout such as e-commerce selector and attendant, according to Leesemann and division recruiting coordinator Niki Pinion. Kroger is also rolling ClickList out to other stores across its 34-state footprint and not just in the Cincinnati-Dayton region, Leesemann said.
To order (at participating locations), go online to www.kroger.com/onlineshopping, build a cart, and select a pick-up time and location. There is a charge of $4.95 per order.
A Kroger employee hand-picks items and stores them in proper temperature zones. A customer can pay for the purchase in a drive-through without leaving their car. Kroger employees load the bags in the vehicles.
Meanwhile, competitor Meijer is also expanding online ordering and curbside service to several Dayton-area stores, the company announced last month. Proposed Meijer sites include stores in Kettering, Miami Twp., Englewood, Beavercreek and Huber Heights.
