Suspects hit man with frying pan, rob him

July 28

A man at a residence in the 1300 block of Grand Boulevard told police someone hit him over the back of the head with a frying pan and another man punched him in the eye. Both suspects then removed the man’s pants, which contained his wallet, and fled on foot from his house.

Someone slashed the tire of a vehicle in the 1000 block of Main Street between 6 and 7 p.m. Estimated value is $80.

Theft of two credit cards, a driver’s license and a prescription card from a vehicle in the 0-100 block of Heitsman Court.

Someone wrote profanities on the rear window of a vehicle in the area of Arch Street and South C Street using pink wax or polish.

Someone put a 6-inch cut into the liner of an above ground pool in the 1000 block of Symmes Avenue and threw rocks into the water.

July 29

Someone damaged the door of a vehicle in the 1800 block of Eaton Avenue. Estimated damages are $400.

Theft of two magazines with ammunition inside, 100 rounds of ammunition, a laptop, jewelry, a jewelry box and $4,500 from a home in the 1200 block of Western Avenue. Total estimated value, excluding the cash, is $2,600.

Someone broke the safety glass on a rear door to a home in the 800 block of Missy Court. Estimated damage is $250.

Theft of a $200 lawnmower from a home in the 600 block of Heaton Street.

July 30

A man told police he was walking in the area of 12th and Hanover when two men came up to him. One man struck the man with a closed fist and both suspects then took the man’s $400 cellphone, wallet, $50 and identification.

Someone started a fire in the passenger compartment of a vehicle in the 700 block of Buckeye Street around 1:10 a.m. The interior of the vehicle was totally engulfed in flamed and destroyed, according to police reports.
