Police seek shooter who kills man inside car in Fairfield Twp.

A man was fatally shot Christmas Eve during an apparent robbery at Tyler’s Creek Apartments.

Two men were inside a car in the 3400 block of Waterfowl Lane around 1:50 p.m. when another man approached them in the Fairfield Twp. apartment complex. The suspect showed a firearm and fired several shots, striking the passenger in the vehicle. The shooter then ran west across Wildbranch Road towards Gateway Avenue, according to a release from the Fairfield Twp. Police Department.

The shooter is described as a black man in his late teens to early 20s with short hair and a skinny build who stands 5 feet, 6 inches. He was last seen wearing black clothing, including a black hooded sweatshirt.

The gunshot victim, who was not named, was taken to UC Health West Chester Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The same apartment complex was the scene of another homicide earlier this year.
