On Tuesday, police responded to Main Street and Locust Drive after a caller said his mother killed his father and was attempting to kill herself, Dayton police Sgt. Mike Godsey said.
The son told detectives that when he arrived on the scene his mother stated, “I did it this time,” read court documents.
When the son looked into the back seat of a parked car, he found his father dead.
Once police arrived, they found Vivian Mims trying to ingest bleach.

“The officers forced their way into the car to prevent the female from causing additional harm to herself,” Godsey said.
A detective found the knife used in the stabbing in Vivian Mims’ purse, which she was holding when police arrived, according to court documents.
Vivian Mims was booked Thursday evening into the Montgomery County Jail and is scheduled to appear Friday for her arraignment in Dayton Municipal Court.
