Middletown police were patrolling in the 2000 block of Central Avenue Friday afternoon when an officer recognized a man driving as someone with a suspended license. After a traffic stop, the man told police he was driving to a scrap yard to sell some items, so he could afford to get his license back.

The man told police they could search his vehicle, and Daniel, a passenger in the vehicle, gave consent to be searched.

That’s when the female officer found Daniel allegedly hiding a crack pipe, 2.2 grams of heroin, and .01 grams of crack in her body.

Police also allegedly found two straws with heavy white residue in Daniel’s purse.

Daniel is scheduled to appear Sept. 4 in Middletown Municipal Court, according to court records.
