In doing so, she noticed empty beer cans on the passenger seat and floor of the vehicle, according to a police report.

When she finally got him awake, he put the car into gear and drove to the back parking lot of the restaurant. The manager then called police.

Police and EMS who responded to the scene at 9:40 p.m. Sept. 30 found the driver of the white Chevy Equinox, identified as Bradley Love, 38, unsteady on his feet, his eyes red and that he had urinated himself, according to the police report, which also noted the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.

Love had trouble locating his wallet, but eventually found it by moving empty and nearly-empty beer cans in the vehicle, according to police. He then spent nearly a minute looking in his wallet for his driver’s license before realizing it was in a pocket.

Love refused to perform field sobriety tests without the presence of his attorney, but the officer charged him with operating a vehicle intoxicated based on his own observations as well was those of witnesses.

Love’s Commercial Driver’s License was seized and, in addition to the OVI charge, he was also cited for open container.

He was allowed to call his mother to pick him up after release on his own recognizance.
