Jewelry thief strikes at tanning salon

A Liberty Twp. woman told police someone stole $4,700 worth of her jewelry while she was tanning at a West Chester salon.

The 44-year-old woman reported a $2,500 Vera Wang ring, a $1,000 necklace, a three-band diamond ring valued at $800 and a $400 Michael Kors watch were stolen while she was tanning at Palm Beach Tan, 7737 Cox Lane.

The alleged theft occurred around 3 p.m. Aug. 24.

The case is still under investigation, according to police.
