Hamilton man found shot outside vehicle not cooperative with police

Police are investigating a shooting late Thursday night in Hamilton.

Officers were dispatched about 11:50 p.m. to the 500 block of South Front street on a report of a man shot. They found Anthony Carter, 51, of Progress Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the pelvis, according to the Hamilton police report.

Carter was lying next to his running 1999 Ford Expedition, police said. He was flown by medical helicopter to University of Cincinnati Medial Center.

Sgt. Rich Burkhardt said Carter was not cooperative with police about the incident.
