The search warrants were part of two different investigations into the selling of heroin, and Capt. Lance Bunnell said there are “more arrests pending” as the case is still under investigation.
Search warrants were served June 30 at 2514 Grand Boulevard and 795 Alpine Court, and a third search warrant was served on July 3 at 246 N. 8th St.
Those arrested were: Deshawn Long, 30, of Grand Boulevard, on a parole violation; Rebecca Santel, 24, of Fairhaven Drive, on suspicion of trafficking in drugs and drug possession, both fifth-degree felonies; and Ronald Swayne, 31, of Alpine Court, on suspicion of trafficking in drugs and having a weapon under disability, both third-degree felonies, and possession of drugs, a fourth-degree felony.
Collectively, the search warrants netted more than 3 ounces of heroin, $11,000 in cash, three handguns — one of which was reported stolen — and three vehicles.
Santel and Swayne were arraigned July 1 and will have preliminary hearings on their respective charges on Wednesday in Hamilton City Municipal Court.
