Downtown Hamilton robbery suspect caught by police

UPDATE @ 11:30 p.m.:

A 35-year-old Middletown man is behind bars, accused of robbery.

Hamilton police did not identify a suspect in the robbery of Jeff Pohlman Tire and Service, 303 S. Second St.

However, Nathan Edward Tucholski was arrested at 303 Second St. and booked into the Butler County Jail on suspicion of robbery and drug paraphernalia, online jail records show.

The suspect has been caught and detained by Hamilton police, according to Chief Craig Bucheit.

INITIAL REPORT:

Hamilton Police are investigating the robbery of a Second Street business.

Jeff Pohlman Tire and Service, 303 S. Second St., was robbed shortly before 1 p.m. by a man who demanded cash, according to dispatchers.

The suspect — described a bald white male wearing shorts and black shoes — demanded money and had something under his shirt.

The suspect fled on foot. Officers are searching the area.
