A theft was reported in the 1100 block of South 12th Street. The victim said the suspect stole two kids’ bikes and one mountain bike.
Feb. 17
Officers and paramedics responded to the 1700 block of North Derexa Drive for a report of a female having a negative drug reaction. Officers said the victim was having difficulties breathing. Paramedics transported the woman to Fort Hamilton Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
A theft was reported in the 2800 block of Dixie Highway. The victim said the suspect stole her black purse and three cell phones, plus her food stamp card.
An assault was reported at an apartment in the 1100 block of Hanover Street. The victim told officers her landlord sprayed bug spray into her eyes and her sister’s eyes.
Feb. 18
A theft was reported at U.S. Bank, 231 Court Street. A complainant told officers the suspect walked into the bank and told workers he was a courier. Bank employees gave the suspect a bag which contained checks and account numbers. The complainant said they normally use a courier service to pick up the property. According to a report the property never reached its destination and that the courier service had no record of the suspect working for them.
Officers and paramedics responded to the 1700 block of Helen Avenue after someone called them saying a 32-year old man had “overdosed on heroin.”
A man told officers someone used his name to file state and federal income taxes. The victim says the suspect also received his tax refund money.

Feb. 16
Officers and paramedics responded to the 2900 block of Lefferson Road for a report of a possible drug overdose. Officers observed Tara Hayes was not breathing and there was a syringe and a spoon laying on a dresser next to her. Paramedics administered Narcan, which revived Hayes. Officers located an off-white powder substance which tested positive for heroin. Paramedics transported Hayes to Atrium Medical Center for treatment. Officers issued Hayes a criminal summons for disorderly conduct intoxication heroin, drug abuse paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments.
Feb. 17
A burglary was reported in the 2900 block of North Carmody Boulevard. The victim said she found her back door open and her dog was located across the street. She said it appeared someone had broken into her home. According to a report, the dog is a retired police K9. The victim told officers there was blood on the floor, couch and several other spots throughout the residence. Officers observed a small chunk of skin missing from the dog’s nose. Officers believe the dog had bitten the suspect and advised dispatchers to contact workers at Atrium Medical Center to inform them if anyone is at the hospital due to a dog bite.
Feb. 18
A robbery was reported at a McDonald’s restaurant, 3570 Commerce Drive. A worker told officers when she opened the cash register the suspect leaned over and stole money. A manager said they were having trouble reviewing video of the incident but were working with a security company to view the surveillance video.
A theft was reported at Corner Market Store, 2126 Hill Avenue. The victim said someone stole Ohio Lottery tickets. He told officers he didn’t know the exact time of the theft but realized they were missing later in the day.
