Crash in West Chester involved fire engine, box truck

A crash in West Chester Twp. sent multiple people to the hospital Saturday morning, according to Barbara Wilson with the West Chester Police Department.

The crash, which happened at approximately 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Union Centre Boulevard and Beckett Road, involved a box truck and a West Chester fire engine.

Two occupants of the box truck were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and three firefighters were transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The crash is being investigated by West Chester police.
