Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Middletown, total at 82

The number of confirmed coronavirus COVID-19 cases have increased by 18 over the past 10 days, according to the Middletown Health Department.

On Monday, the total number of confirmed cases in the city has risen to 82 plus two probable cases.

All but two cases reported did not require hospitalization.

Here is a breakdown of the confirmed cases in Middletown:

  • May 26: One 30-year-old woman, not hospitalized.
  • May 24: Two cases, a 40-year-old woman, and a 53-year old man. Neither were hospitalized.
  • May 23: Four cases, a 39-year-old woman, a 44-year-old man, a 74-year-old woman, and a 55-year-old man. None were hospitalized.
  • May 22: Two cases, a 60-year-old man, and an 82-year-old female. Neither were hospitalized.
  • May 21: One case, a 21-year-old woman who was not hospitalized.
  • May 20: Two cases, a 64-year-old man who was not hospitalized; and an eight-year-old girl who was hospitalized.
  • May 19: One new case, a 64-year-old man who was hospitalized.
  • May 18: One new case, a 67-year-old woman who was not hospitalized.
  • May 17: Two new cases, a 37-year-old man, and a 40-year-old woman. Neither were hospitalized.
  • May 15: Two new cases, a 44-year-old woman, and a 12-year-old girl. Neither were hospitalized.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, the Ohio Department of Health reported 30,827 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide with 5,579 hospitalizations including 1,450 admissions to intensive care units. There have been 1,803 confirmed deaths statewide. In addition, there are 2,179 probable cases and 199 probable deaths due to COVID-19.

The age range of coronavirus COVID-19 cases range from under one-year-old to 109 years of age with the median age of 49.
