Cincinnati Children’s lip sync video goes viral

Going viral is something a hospital avoids, but when its a dance video, it’s nothing but infectious fun.

Maybe that’s why a holiday video “Can’t Stop the Healing” by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center’s Protective Service officers racked up more than 110,000 Facebook views, 3,721 shares and hundreds of comments in just four hours today.

The nearly 4-minute video features officers, nurses and even patients showing off their playful side, dancing and singing at Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus in Butler County’s Liberty Twp., as well as its main campus in Clifton and its College Hill campus.

The video kicks off with iconic classical piece “Also sprach Zarathustra” by Richard Strauss before kicking it old school with M.C. Hammer’s “2 Legit 2 Quit” and Justin Timberlake’s more recent hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”

Then the coolness get a dose of creativity, as the Children’s staffers do their own rendition of Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk.”

“This is that nice ol’ Children’s Hospital,” the altered version goes, “They want to help kids, heal kids, great masterpieces/Stylin’, wilin’, livin’ it up in Cincy/I got Chucks on in the hospital, gotta kiss myself, I’m so pretty.”

The video then briefly shifts to chants of “Get well, get well, get well” and snippets of Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” “Uptown Funk” and Hammer’s “2 Legit,” before effortlessly gliding back into a joyful mashup of all three, changing “Can’t Stop the Feeling” to “Can’t Stop the Healin’ ” mixed with a rousing chant of “Children’s fix you up.”
