Cabela’s now hiring for West Chester store

Online applications are being accepted for the 200 positions that need to be filled at Cabela’s new location, set to open later this year.

The outdoor retailer is scheduled to open this fall at 7250 Cabela Drive, which is on the corner of Liberty Way and Tylers Place Boulevard, just west of Interstate 75’s Liberty Way interchange.

The company is now accepting online applications for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions in its home and cabin, hunting, camping, fishing and customer service departments.

“We are looking to build a fun work environment with a knowledgeable and passionate staff,” said James Daugherty, the new store’s general manager. “Customers visit Cabela’s for a unique experience and superior customer service, and this store will strive to offer both.”

Those wishing to apply for a position may visit www.cabelas.jobs, click on "Job Search" and select "United States" and "West Chester, Ohio" for the location and click "Search." After that, select a desired position then follow instructions to log in and apply.

Applicants selected will be contacted for further information.

The West Chester location will be Cabela’s second location in Ohio, joining a Columbus-area store that opened in March 2013.

A Centerville location announced in March is scheduled to open in spring 2016 and an Avon location announced in April is set to open in fall 2016, according to company spokesman Nathan Borowski.

In Butler County, Cabela’s will anchor a development planned by Great Traditions Land & Development Co. to include retail, a 40,000-square-foot office building and three restaurants.

The 18-acre site sits across the street from the $350 million Liberty Center project under construction and scheduled to debut in October.

The Nebraska-based company isn’t the only national sporting goods retailer coming to West Chester Twp. Bass Pro Shops announced it would start construction at 5992 Allen Road in The Streets of West Chester retail center this fall and open that location in 2016, moving from its Forest Fair Village location.
