UPDATE @ 1:55 p.m.:
A lockdown at Talawanda High School has been lifted, officials posted on the district’s Facebook page.
All students, who had been ordered to stay in classrooms, are reporting to seventh period.
A bomb threat left in the boys bathroom has Talawanda High School on lockdown as police search the building.
The threatening letter was discovered at approximately 12:49 p.m. today, and school officials immediately enacted emergency procedures.
No arrests have been made and no one is injured, school officials said.
All students are now staying in their classrooms as Oxford Police and Butler County Sheriff deputies comb the building with bomb-sniffing dogs, said Holli Morrish, spokeswoman for Talawanda Schools.
The high school enrolls more than a 1,000 students in grades 9-12.
“At this point we really consider this to only be precautionary in nature,” Morrish said.
