Skyline Chili breaks ground on new Monroe location

Restaurant to open near Cincinnati Premium Outlets this summer.

Skyline Chili broke ground Monday on a new restaurant at 1321 State Route 63 near Cincinnati Premium Outlets.

Scheduled to open this August, the new restaurant is owned by Jeff and Bonnie Cornwell, who started serving Coneys together more than 30 years ago.

The Cornwells also own Skyline locations at 8386 Princeton Glendale Road in West Chester Twp. and 5488 Liberty Square Court in Liberty Twp.

“We are proud and humbled to become a part of the Monroe community,” Jeff Cornwell said. “We look forward to welcoming neighbors, family and friends to enjoy Skyline’s iconic menu inside our beautiful new restaurant later this summer.”

The new location will include 3,600 square feet of indoor dining, a seating capacity of 130 guests, Wi-Fi access and flat screen televisions.

The store will employ more than 35 people.
