Sunny, warm today; Rain, blustery winds expected Saturday

Today will bring mainly sunny skies and warm temperatures with highs in the low 70s, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

There will be some more clouds and patchy fog developing overnight as temperatures fall to around 50 degrees.

Friday morning there’s a chance of patchy fog, but it is expected to clear early as temperatures increase and wind picks up. During the day, Friday will be blustery and warmer, with highs reaching near 74 degrees.

Clouds will gradually increase Friday night, leading up to rain expected to start around dawn on Saturday. Lows will be around 59 degrees.

Saturday will be rainy and windy, with showers throughout the day and wind gusts as high as 45 mph. Highs would be around 73 degrees.

Rain chances are expected to gradually trail off Saturday night, coming to an end around sunrise on Sunday. Clouds and wind will also both gradually fall, and temperatures will dip to around 49 degrees.

Highs on Sunday will be in the low 70s.
