Sunny skies with a slight warming trend for most of the week

A beautiful fall day kicks off the work week with bright, sunny skies and near-to-normal temperatures, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Skies will clear to sunshine. The high for today will be 70 degrees with a gentle breeze of 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight’s forecast will see a mostly clear sky with temperatures dropping to the low 40s. A light breeze contributes to the more chillier side of the weather, with patchy frost possible Tuesday morning.

Sunny skies dawn brightly for Tuesday which sees a slight warming trend that will continue into Wednesday as well. The high of the day is 72 degrees.

Overnight involves a low of 44 degrees and clear conditions.

Wednesday sees that warming trend yet again with highs reaching mid-70s. Sunny skies will make an appearance too.

The weather overnight will be considerably cooler with lows falling in the upper 40s. Partly cloudy skies will accompany.

Thursday will be sunny and warmer with a high of 77 degrees. The overnight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 48 degrees.

Much cooler temperatures will settle in Friday.
