Rain showers tonight, Monday and Tuesday; Severe storms possible with Flood Watch in effect tomorrow

This afternoon will be mostly cloudy with occasional showers and thunderstorms possible tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 9 p.m. Some of the storms could produce small hail and heavy rain, too.

The NWS predicted multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms today through Tuesday. Repeated rainfall could lead to flooding concerns, and there is also a chance for a few strong to severe storms.

A Flood Watch is in effect Monday at 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday for the following counties: Butler, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hamilton, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Warren.

Highs will be near 66 degrees, while lows will fall around 56 degrees.

On Monday, showers with a possible thunderstorm are expected with the potential for hail and heavy rain. Highs will be 64 degrees. Monday night will continue with more rain and the possibility of a thunderstorm yet again. There’s a chance of large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain with the storms. The low will fall around 52 degrees.

Showers with a possible thunderstorm are expected Tuesday with large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes possible. Highs will be near 65 degrees, while lows will fall around 38 degrees.

Rainy conditions continue into Wednesday with highs near 45 degrees, followed by an equally rainy evening with snow mixing in before gradually ending. The nighttime will be mostly cloudy but breezy with a low of 33 degrees.
