Showers, storms tonight as cold front passes through

Showers and storms will continue this evening along and ahead of a cold front.

The coverage and intensity of the showers and storms will wane heading toward midnight, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Temperatures will start to drop tonight behind the front, with low temperature overnight around 63 degrees.

It will be dry and cooler Friday before another system returns stormy weather for the weekend, making for a wet CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show.

Friday will be partly sunny and warm, with a high near 79 degrees. Clouds will start to increase again Friday night, which will have an overnight low around 64 degrees.

Saturday will be rainy, with showers becoming likely by late morning. There will also be a chance of thunderstorms beginning soon after dawn and rising in the afternoon, meaning the area may see showers and storms during the Dayton Air Show, which runs from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The high for the day will be around 79 degrees.

Saturday night, showers will continue, with more rain likely throughout the night and a slight chance of a thunderstorm. The low temperature will be around 68 degrees.

On Sunday, the area may see more showers and storms. Skies are expected to be cloudy throughout the day, brining more wet conditions for the air show. The high temperature for the day will be near 83 degrees. Showers and a thunderstorm are possible Sunday night until around 3 a.m. Monday, with the overnight low temperature around 70 degrees.
