After today’s unseasonably cold weather with isolated snow showers, the overnight low will be well below freezing before temperatures moderate for Wednesday.
The overnight low is expected around 21 degrees after the high temperature for today reached 33 degrees in Dayton, 37 in Cincinnati and 31 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Skies will be clear with some spots with lows dropping into the middle to upper teens.
It will be sunny and much warmer Wednesday with a high near 49 degrees.
Clouds will gradually increase Wednesday night, with an overnight low around 33 degrees.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy and warmer with a high near 56 degrees. There is a chance of rain after 2 p.m. that is expected to continue through nightfall.
Rain is expected Thursday night, mainly after 8 p.m. It will be breezy, with a sustained south wind of 18 to 21 mph and gusts as high as 33 mph possible. The overnight low will be around 46 degrees.
Rain remains likely for Friday, mainly before 2 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 50 degrees.
The chance of rain continues before 8 p.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and much colder with an overnight low around 26 degrees.
The weekend will be chilly but dry with highs in the middle to upper 30s on Saturday and around 40 degrees on Sunday.
