The Bengals are out of the playoff hunt and had been humiliated two weeks in a row, but they weren’t going to go down in flames.

In what’s likely Marvin Lewis’ last home game with the Bengals, they upset Detroit 26-17 to end the Lions playoff hopes on Christmas Eve.

As he has all season, Carl Lawson came up big. He sacked Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford on fourth down to end it. The rookie has 9.5 sacks on the season, tying Carlos Dunlap’s rookie Bengals record.
