Wayne is 10-0 overall and tied with Springfield (9-0) atop the Greater Western Ohio Conference National East, both teams at 5-0. Wayne also is scheduled to host defending Division II state champion Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Wayne also has a Monday game scheduled against unbeaten Upper Arlington in the last of 20 Premier Health Flyin’ to the Hoop games at Fairmont’s Trent Arena (8:15 p.m.). Upper Arlington was ranked No. 1 among D-I teams in this week’s first Associated Press state poll and Wayne was No. 2.

Springfield is paired against Cleveland Heights in Sunday’s final Flyin’ game (8:15 p.m.). Flyin’ to the Hoop opens with two games on Friday, then six each on Saturday, Sunday and Monday during the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.
