H.S. Results for 1/25: Lakota West girls roll past Hamilton

The Lakota West girls basketball team didn’t get caught looking ahead to Saturday in an 85-36 rout over Hamilton on Wednesday.

Alexandra Haar scored 18 points and Sarah Jones had 14 to lead six players in double-digit scoring for West (15-2).

Cici Riggins paced Hamilton (5-11) with nine points.

Lakota West will travel to Mason in a crucial Greater Miami Conference matchup on Saturday. A win would avenge a 44-42 loss from Dec. 3 and place Lakota West and Mason in a tie atop the conference standings.

Middletown 59, Colerain 57: Olivia Wells-Daniels scored 22 points and Monique Prather 18 to help spur a rally win for Middletown.

Princeton 58, Fairfield 45: Brooke Spaulding scored 11 points and Zahrya Bailey and Kelis Jones added 10 apiece for Fairfield.

Wayne 49, Lebanon 46: Wayne took its first lead of the game with under 30 seconds to play off of a Mya Dunson three-point basket. Dunson finished with 15 points. Rachel Perry recorded 20 points with 11 rebounds for Lebanon.

Alter 55, Centerville 40: Libby Bazelak scored 18 points and Braxtin Miller had 15 as Alter finished the game on a 24-5 run after trailing in the fourth quarter. Sam Chable paced Centerville with 10 points.

Tecumseh 73, Ben Logan 44: Corinne Thomas poured in 39 points and Presley Griffitts chipped in 20 to lead Tecumseh in the rout. Nikki Current had 11 points for Ben Logan.

Urbana 58, Bellefontaine 54, OT: Hunter Rogan tallied 28 points with seven rebounds and six steals and Bridget Ofori tacked on 14 points with nine boards to lead Urbana. Emily Mitchell paced Bellefontaine with 17 points.

Bethel 86, Mississinawa Valley 61: Morgan Crase tallied 21 points, Alaina Hawthorn 16 and Sarah Swisher 10 for Bethel. Kelsey Hunt scored 29 points and Mikayla Stump 22 in a losing effort for Mississinawa.

Sidney 2373, Fairborn 2207: Josh Abbott had a 437 series, Matt Elliott a 430 and Austin Simon a 426 for unbeaten Sidney.

Fairbanks 2312, Southeastern 2294: Tyler Blankenship led Sidney with a 438 series.

Girls Bowling

Sidney 2190, Fairborn 2134: Jenna Beatty rolled a 490 series and Cameron Fogle added a 389 for Sidney. Hannah Borchert had a 421 series for Fairborn.

Fairbanks 1895, Southeastern 1859: Jade Reid shot a 347 series for Southeastern.
