High School results for April 12

In a Greater Catholic League Co-Ed showdown, Badin emerged victorious, beating Chaminade Julienne 13-4.

During the game, Badin had 13 hits, 13 runs and three errors while Chaminade Julienne had three hits, four runs and only one error.

Nicole Rawling was the winning pitcher for Badin with eight strikeouts, moving her to 11-0 on the season. In addition to the strikeouts, Rawlings went 3-for-4 with a double, a homerun and an RBI.

Carly Fugett was the losing pitcher for Chaminade Julienne with six strikeouts. Fugett also went 3-for-4 with two triples and two RBIs.

Maddie Curtner went 2-for-4 with a double, a homerun and five RBIs while Sam Sander went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Teammate Josie Link went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Sydney Rawlings went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

The win moves Badin to 11-0 on the season, continuing their undefeated streak.

The loss was only Chaminade Julienne’s second of the season, dropping them to 5-2.

Ross 5, Edgewood 0: Drew Huffman was the winning pitcher for Ross with a no-hitter and 11 strikeouts. Zach Evans went 2-for-3 with a triple and Huffman went 2-for-4.

West Liberty-Salem 7, Catholic Central 2: Chase Humphrey was the winning pitcher for West Liberty-Salem. He also went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Dillon Callicoat went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Trevor Burden also went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI.

Softball

Triad 5, Springfield 0: Collier was the winning pitcher for Triad. Eaton went 3-for-3 while Ehrenborg went 2-for-2 with a double in the Triad win. Springfield had six hits in the loss.

Covington 10, Miami East 0: Kenzie Long pitched a shutout for Covington in their victory, allowing only one hit and striking out two batters. Sarah Hubbard and Kenzie Long each contributed doubles in the win.

West Carrollton 12, Trotwood-Madison 0: Makayla Woods was the winning pitcher for West Carrollton with a shutout and ten strikeouts. Madi Mills had a homerun and three RBIs, while MacKenzie Bush had two hits and Ashton Tilton had two hits and two RBIs.

Fairborn 8, Butler 7: Taylor Rice was the winning pitcher for Fairborn. She also had one stolen base and an RBI and went 2-for-4. Kenzie Shaver chipped in two RBIs and went 1-for-1. Bryanna McLean went 3-for-3.

Newton 16, Twin Valley South 2: Erin Norman was the winning pitcher for Newton with five strikeouts. Brooke Deeter finished the game for Newton with three strikeouts. Haley Pack went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Kacie Tackett went 2-for-5 with a double and 3 RBIs, while Kristen Rappold went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Boys Tennis

Milford 3, Centerville 2: Owens, Mason, (singles) and Gibson/Eppes (doubles) won their sets to win the match for Milford. Rowland (singles) and Kathula/Kishinchand (doubles) each won their sets for Centerville.

Sidney 5, Piqua 0: Prem Dev, Diachi Urata, Chance Cheek (singles), Michael Ferree/Logan Searcey and Jersain Brun/Nobel Zhou won their sets to sweep the match for Sidney.

Oakwood 5, Monroe 0: Cassidy, Lahmon, Toussaint (singles), Baker/Clark and Boyce/Connally all won their sets in Oakwood’s sweep victory over Monroe.

Miami Valley 5, Bellbrook 0: Colton Morehart, Michael Perevozchikov, Reece Quigley (singles), Makul Sharma/Niyanth Reddy and Joe Keller/Amin Ahmed (doubles)_all won their sets to sweep Bellbrook.

Fenwick 5, Mariemont 0: Sagan, Page, Erhart (singles), Short/Payne and Colley/Braun all won their sets in Fenwick’s sweep over Mariemont.

LaSalle 3, Ross 2: Gulasy (singles), Turner/Vogt and Roell/Flynn (doubles) won their sets to win the match for LaSalle. Bolin and Duggins both won their singles sets for Ross.

Northeastern 5, Northwestern 0: Brandon Stokes, Jake Calhoun, Gabe King (singles), CJ Parsons/Max Foreman and Josh Calhoun/Josh Morscher (doubles) all won their sets in the Northeastern sweep victory.

Milton-Union 4, Tippecanoe 1: The doubles team of Levi Berning and Evan Hill had the lone win for Tippecanoe.

Fairmont 5, Lebanon 0: Haas, Juhasz, Webb (singles), Jagu/Robillard and Hilvers/Hubert (doubles) all won their sets to sweep Lebanon.

Valley View 5, Trotwood-Madison 0: Justin DeVilbiss, Chase Midkiff, Ian Barnett (singles), Ben Holbrook/Ben Lewan and Michael Fischer/Carter Nolte (doubles) all won their matches in Valley View’s sweep of Trotwood-Madison.

Brookville 3, Dixie 2: J. Wilkerson (singles), B. Williams/R. Ritchie and T. Marburger/B Lawson (doubles) won their sets for Brookville in their win. Jacob Foster and Mason Swigart won their singles sets for Dixie.

Dayton Christian 3, Preble Shawnee 2: Samuel Thompson, Hannah Withers (singles) and Solomon West/Elaina Baker (doubles) all won their sets to lead Dayton Christian to victory. Pierce Elliot (singles) and Hayden Brown/Brenden Whisman (doubles) won their sets for Preble Shawnee.

Greenville 3, Chaminade Julienne 2: Noah Haupt, Craig Manges (singles) and Austin Grote/Josh Smith (doubles) each won their sets to launch Greenville to a win. Andrew Hartley had the lone singles win for Chaminade Julienne, while Nick Henne/Cole Breeding had their lone doubles win.

Tecumseh 5, Springfield 0: Mitchell Foland, Michael Green, Drew Sarihan (singles), Christian Hunt/Johan Goksor and Scott Sinkhorn/Jacob Lewis (doubles) all won their sets for Tecumseh to sweep Springfield.

Lehman Catholic 3, Catholic Central 2: Griffin West, Ryan Goettemoeller (singles) and Michael Wesner/Cole Kramer had the wins for Lehman Catholic. Thomas Kavanaugh (singles) and Colin Kelly/Jacob Woeber (doubles) won for Catholic Central.

Boys Volleyball

Alter 3, Badin 0: Alter won 25-18, 25-19 and 26-24. Kabel had 29 assists, Rose had 16 kills, three blocks and 14 digs, Nye had nine kills and Stuart chipped in six blocks.
