The name of Ian Kahaloa has been trending Thursday for all the wrong reasons.

A 19-year-old Reds prospect from Hawaii, Kahaloa was drafted in the fifth round by Cincinnati two years ago.

He hasn’t made it to Single-A Dayton yet, though, and his progress is seriously stalled at the moment because of a 50-game suspension for recreational drug use.

The Cincinnati Enquirer confirmed with a Reds team official videos posted to social media that appear to show Kahaloa using cocaine are authentic.

His agent told the paper he is in a drug treatment program.

Kahaloa started 11 games between two different stops in rookie ball last season, including 10 at Billings.
