Prep football: Hamilton rally falls short in 21-20 loss to Princeton

SHARONVILLE — Hamilton High School’s football team rallied from a 21-7 deficit but came up a point short Friday night, ending the 2018 season with a 21-20 defeat at Princeton.

Big Blue scored on a 32-yard pass from Keyshawn Stephens to Daveon Williams with 2:39 remaining. The visitors attempted a conversion pass that failed.

Williams also scored on a run and Daryan Bowling caught a 32-yard TD pass from Stephens for HHS, which finished 1-9 overall and 1-7 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Stephens was 10-of-13 for 112 yards through the air and carried the ball 36 times for 98 yards. Luke Mattia added 11 tackles and two fumble recoveries for Big Blue.

Trey Key had 26 runs for 175 yards and a touchdown for the Vikings (3-7, 3-5). Thomas Boyd also ran for two scores.
