MIDDLETOWN — Senior Jack Fessler carried the ball 20 times for 203 yards and three touchdowns Friday as Fenwick High School’s football team celebrated Senior Night with a 31-14 victory over Purcell Marian at Krusling Field.
Senior quarterback Sully Janeck was 16-of-23 for 213 yards and connected with David Schuh for a TD for the Falcons, who improved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Greater Catholic League Coed North Division.
Fenwick had to rally from an early 7-0 deficit and got a 39-yard field goal from Matt Beckman. Thomas Vogelsang had five catches for 82 yards, Logan Miller (11) and Henry Nenni (10) both notched double-digit tackles, and Gio DiGirolamo, Nate Green and Tyler Houck all had interceptions.
Zach Hoover completed 32-of-51 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns for Purcell (4-4, 1-4 GCLC Central). The Cavaliers turned the ball over four times.
Next Friday, the Falcons will travel to Roger Bacon and Purcell will host Carroll at Walnut Hills.
